I've been trying to work out a good schedule for not only a multi-evening class for those of you who prefer that time frame, but also some short, more intensive weekend schedules for variety.
I've added these smaller projects on weekends because they are also terrific for groups of friends, celebration of an event (shower, birthday, etc.), and more.
 If you'd like to book any of the weekend dates for your group exclusively: please contact me immediately, as they fill up quickly!

Specialty Table Classes
Three Table classes are scheduled for Spring & early Summer. This is your chance to learn the basics AND create one very nice piece of artwork. I only use Specialty Shaped-Tiles, Glass & Mirror, and some vintage and/or random  tesserae. Feel free to bring any memento you would like to incorporate into your work of art.

The cost of this series includes all project materials, use of tools, and assistance needed to walk away with a beautiful and fun piece of artwork. You'll have the choice of tabletop shapes: octagon, round and square. The table bases are the same for all tops: curly legged, wrought iron.
Cost: $165 (minimum of 2 & maximum of 6 participants in each class)

Mosaic Window Classes
In this class you will create a large, decorative cathedral glass mosaic on an antique window. Mosaic art is easy, relaxing to learn, and can be incorporated into many aspects of your home and garden.
 This 3 or 5 day course teaches you to create a colorful masterpiece from cathedral glass mosaic pieces. Have a design in mind or email/call me and we can decide on a wonderful design just for your window!
NOTE: This is NOT a leaded, stained glass-type class…it is mosaic art and learning to create glowing works of art for decorative use without all that toxic junk used in regular stained glass. Please see the student gallery for examples of past classes.
Please note: If you are taking the intensive version participants will enjoy creating a fabulous artwork within only three days of intensive mosaic layout, adhering, and a final day of grouting. You must come ready with a design and be prepared to work! We'll stretch a lot during class, but only a small half-hour break will be given for lunch on Saturday. No make up time will be considered for this class, so be ready to attend all scheduled hours! The final evening is grouting only, which goes fairly quickly. If you would like a take-home kit instead of returning to grout -- that option is available.
Cost: $385 (minimum of 2 & maximum of 4 participants)

Chair Class
Mosaic art is easy, relaxing to learn, and can be incorporated into many aspects of your home and garden. During this fun class series you will create an amazing project: a decorative, indoor, mosaic covered chair in any style or design you choose.
This class is open to only 3 students due to space limitations! The chairs are chosen by each participant on a first-come, first choice basis. I currently have a few chairs to choose from – if you have your own chair you would like to use/mosaic then you will receive a $35.00 discount for the total cost of the  class.
This course will teach you all the basic skills you need for creating beautiful, funky, and fun mosaic art — or, if you are a returning student, you can hone those skills and create a more detailed masterpiece.
For these series classes, we only use Specialty Shaped-Tiles, Glass & Mirror, and some vintage and/or random tesserae. You are always welcome to bring any tiles or tesserae that has personal meaning to you and that you would like to incorporate into your artwork.
- The cost of this series includes all projects, materials, tools, and assistance needed to walk away with an amazing mosaic covered chair.

New Class Space
As Goldilocks says, “it’s just right”….
I have rented a new space and I will now be holding my mosaic classes within Great Curves.
If any of you haven’t heard of this wonderful resale & new clothing and accessories shop in Point Loma…well, all I can say is that you have been missing out! Lisa carries clothing (new and resale) sizes 10-7X, she also carries: shoes, jewelry, purses, knick-knacks, and so much more. Her new space is SO large and has various anterooms, nooks, and such that she has agreed to rent the perfect room inside of her shop to me for my mosaic classes. There may also be some jewelry (wire wrapping and more) classes offered in the future.

Amber’s classes will be held within Great Curves. Great Curves: The Plus Size Haven is a large, sweeping corner shop that is located directly across from MCRD and NTC Promenade’s East Entrance.
Approaching from the East is best, as you will be driving on the correct side of the road to turn in to the parking lot. Look for the large sign on the fence that says: PLUS SIZES and turn right immediately into the fenced parking lot. Please park anywhere except where you see a “reserved for tenant” sign.
Please follow these directions for best results:
Barnett Ave & Lytton Street become the same street right in front of Great Curves.
Driving North on 5:
take Pacific Hwy, exit on Barnett, travel along Barnett to the parking lot of Great Curves (on right side, just after Church)
Driving South on 5:
take Rosecrans, Left on Midway, Right on Barnett, travel along Barnett to the parking lot of Great Curves (on right side, just after Church)
Or: if you want to avoid Sports Arena/Rosecrans, take Washington exit, Right on Washington, Right on Pacific Hwy, immediate exit on Barnett, travel along Barnett to the parking lot of Great Curves (on right side, just after Church)
Driving West on 8:
take Rosecrans, Left on Midway, Right on Barnett, travel along Barnett to the parking lot of Great Curves (on right side, just after Church)
Coming from OB, Point Loma, Mission Beach, or PB:
I suggest going a bit out of your way in order to approach the shop from the East.
